During the connection of your browser with our website, the following information (server log files) is exchanged between your browser and our website host:

  • Date and time of accessing our website

This information is necessary for establishing the IP connection, but does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person and is not evaluated by us.

We delete the data collected in this context once storage is no longer necessary, or restrict processing if statutory retention obligations exist. If there is no statutory retention obligation, the log files are deleted immediately after your website visit or overwritten by more recent log files.
If we use commissioned service providers for individual functions of our offering or wish to use your data for advertising purposes, we will inform you about the respective processes. We will also state the criteria determining the storage period.

If you provide us with personal data of other persons, please ensure that these persons are aware of this privacy policy and only share their personal data with us if you are authorized to do so under applicable data protection law. This applies in particular to data of minors and to the creation of profiles for minors.

Data Processing

We process your personal data in accordance with legal provisions (Data Protection Act, Data Protection Ordinance, and other relevant regulations) only to the extent necessary for providing a functional website and our content and services. Your personal data is regularly processed only after obtaining your consent. An exception applies in cases where prior consent cannot be obtained for factual reasons and the processing of data is permitted by legal provisions.

Purpose of Data Processing

Furthermore, we process personal data from you and other persons, to the extent permitted and deemed appropriate by us, also for the following purposes, in which we (and occasionally third parties) have a legitimate interest corresponding to the purpose:

  • Further development of our offers, services, and websites, apps, and other platforms on which we are present;
  • Communication with third parties and processing their inquiries (e.g., applications, media inquiries);
  • Review and optimization of procedures for needs analysis for direct customer approach, as well as the collection of personal data from publicly accessible sources for customer acquisition;
  • Advertising and marketing (including the organization of events), unless you have objected to the use of your data (if we send you advertising as an existing customer, you can object at any time, and we will then add you to a block list against further advertising mailings);
  • Market and opinion research, media monitoring;
  • Assertion of legal claims and defense in connection with legal disputes and official proceedings;
  • Prevention and investigation of criminal offenses and other misconduct (e.g., conducting internal investigations, data analyses for fraud prevention);
  • Ensuring our operations, especially IT, our websites, apps, and other platforms.

If you have given us your consent to process your personal data for specific purposes (for example, when you register to receive newsletters or undergo a background check), we process your personal data within the scope of and based on this consent, unless we have another legal basis and require one. Granted consent can be revoked at any time, but this does not affect data processing that has already taken place.

Disclosure of Data

In the course of our business activities, to the extent permitted and deemed appropriate by us, we also disclose data to third parties, either because they process it for us or because they wish to use it for their own purposes. This particularly concerns the following entities:

  • Service providers and contractual partners, including processors (such as IT providers);
  • Domestic and foreign authorities, official bodies, or courts, to the extent we are legally obliged to do so;
  • Parties in potential or actual legal proceedings.

These recipients are partly domestic, but can be located anywhere in the world. You must particularly expect your data to be transferred to countries in the EU and EEA, as well as to the USA.
If a recipient is located in a country without adequate legal data protection, we contractually oblige the recipient to comply with applicable data protection, usually based on the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission. An exception may apply, in particular, to legal proceedings abroad, but also in cases of overriding public interests or if contract execution requires such disclosure, if you have consented, or if the data is generally made accessible by you and you have not objected to its processing.

Use of Cookies

In addition to the aforementioned data, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive, assigned to the browser you are using, and through which certain information flows to us. Cookies cannot execute programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They serve to make the overall internet offering more user-friendly and effective.
Most browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can configure your browser settings according to your preferences and, for example, refuse the acceptance of certain or all cookies. We would like to point out that in these cases, you may not be able to use all functions of this website.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. Furthermore, you can prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data.

Use of Tracking Technologies

We use various common tracking technologies to collect, store, and evaluate data when you use the website. For example, we may use device ID, advertising ID, and tracking pixels to analyze the use of the website and our other offerings and to personalize the website and our other offerings. When sending newsletters and emails, for example, we may use technologies that allow us to analyze which content is of interest to users and whether, when, and how they react to our offers.

Use of Analytics Tools

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website.
However, your IP address is usually anonymized within Switzerland/the EU/EEA and only then transferred to Google servers in the USA. Therefore, Google will not know about your visit to this website unless you are logged into a personal Google account (Google account “myaccount”, YouTube, Google Maps, etc.) during your visit to this website.
The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.
This website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”. This means that IP addresses are further processed in a shortened form. This excludes any personal reference.
On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities, and to provide other services related to website and internet usage to the website operator.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.
If you never want to allow Google Analytics in principle, install the browser add-on for deactivating Google Analytics. Download: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
This website also uses Google Analytics for a cross-device analysis of visitor flows, which is carried out via a user ID. In your customer account, under “My Data”, “Personal Data”, you can deactivate the cross-device analysis of your usage.

Use of Google Tag Manager

Our website uses the tool “Google Tag Manager”. With Google Tag Manager, website tags can be managed via an interface. Google Tag Manager does not collect personal data, but rather triggers other tags that may, in turn, collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If a deactivation has been made at the domain or cookie level, this remains valid for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager.

Your Rights

With regard to your personal data, you can exercise the following rights free of charge:

  1. The right to information about the personal data processed as such, the purpose of processing, the storage period or the criteria for determining this period, the origin, where applicable, the disclosure to third parties, as well as the type of processing

We secure our website and other systems through technical and organizational measures against loss, destruction, alteration, and against access or dissemination of your data by unauthorized persons.
The necessary technical precautions are also in place to preserve your anonymity and privacy when you visit this website. The website uses the industry standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) for encryption in some places. This ensures the confidentiality of your personal information over the internet.
